Captain James Dickson -Eikenhof Cemetery Town War Memorial

In the cemetery on the town's war memorial. Monument A concrete memorial representing three tablets and listing the town's eighteen war dead.  The middle tablet honor an American aviator who was shot down in the area.


Captain James B. Dickson was killed in action over The Netherlands 8 April 1944. Capt. Dickson was the recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters.

He was assigned to the 358th Squadron, 355th Fighter Group, 8th AAF Fighter Station England.
